Qld: Nats move to outlaw One Nation preference deals
The Queensland National Party has moved to outlaw preference deals with One Nation-- in an effort to reform a coalition with the Liberal Party.
However, Queensland Liberal leader BOB QUINN says the Nationals polling performancewill have to improve before serious negotiations can start.
He says the Nationals lack drive and direction.
Mr QUINN says at the last election the Nationals got 14 per cent of the vote and theirpopularity has since fallen to about half that.
The Queensland National Party broke the coalition following a disastrous result inthe 2001 state election which left the Liberals with just three MPs and the Nationals12.
